Gorkha is one of the most historical towns in Nepal. The Gorkha Durbar is a steep one-hour hike up a hill from the center of Gorkha. This Durbar was built in a Newari style. The view of the Himalayan range from the Durbar is spectacular. The Goraknath temple which is located inside a cave and the Goddess Gorkha Kali are two temples of major significance to followers of Hinduism.
