About This Trip

The Langtang Valley Trek is one of Nepal’s most beautiful yet less crowded Himalayan adventures. Located just north of Kathmandu near the Tibetan border, this trek offers spectacular mountain landscapes, rich Tamang culture, and stunning alpine scenery.

Often called the “Valley of Glaciers,” the Langtang region is surrounded by towering snow peaks including Langtang Lirung (7,227 m). The trail passes through lush forests, peaceful mountain villages, yak pastures, and ancient Buddhist monasteries.

The highlight of the journey is reaching Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 m), a breathtaking Himalayan settlement surrounded by glaciers and dramatic peaks. From here, trekkers can enjoy panoramic mountain views and explore the pristine landscapes of Langtang National Park.

Itinerary

Welcome to Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal and gateway to the Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.

In the evening enjoy a traditional Nepali welcome dinner with cultural dance, introducing you to Nepal’s rich cultural traditions. Kathmandu is famous for its ancient temples, historic palaces, colorful markets, and vibrant spiritual atmosphere.

Today you drive through scenic mountain roads, passing traditional villages, terraced hillsides, and beautiful river valleys. A charming mountain village located at the entrance to the Langtang Valley and the starting point of the trek.

Your trek begins along the Langtang Khola River, passing through dense forests and crossing suspension bridges.

The trail gradually climbs through alpine forests and open valleys with stunning views of Langtang Lirung. A beautiful Himalayan village famous for its ancient monastery, yak cheese factory, and incredible mountain scenery.

Today is reserved for acclimatization and exploration. Trekkers can hike to nearby viewpoints for breathtaking panoramic views of glaciers and surrounding peaks.

Begin your descent through scenic mountain landscapes, retracing your route through forests and valleys.

Your final trekking day follows the beautiful river valley back to Syabrubesi, where the journey first began.
